ALBERT & LITTLE HENRY - READERS SAY

I really liked this book! I love the illustrations, and especially the meaning behind it, which shows how sibling rivalry can play a role in how children feel. I loved the names of the children as Albert and Henry are favourite names of mine. A great story with a lot of heart! Maria

I really didn't want to check this one out but Woods insisted. I think he's enamored with BIG books and this one is certainly on the large size. I tend to steer clear of books about siblings because Woods is an only child. I'm uncomfortable with the topic and worry about him asking about me having more babies as I've seen other children do. It may be inevitable, but I'd rather not egg it on, especially when the whole book is about how a child feels displaced by a new sibling. Well, maybe that would actually work to my advantage LOL "Oh look, you'll never have to worry about that!" We read this one a ton of times. So much so I had to hide it once or twice to give myself a break. I think the idea of feeling small around adults and sharing attention resonated with him irregardless of his sibling status (or lack thereof). Cute illustrations really get the point across too. Highly recommend. Gina

A very special picture book about sibling rivalry. I love the idea of him shrinking! Carmel
