My First Books for Adults
I'd like to share with you some news about a new direction in my writing. I’ve been creating picture books since 1984, but for the last two and a half years I’ve been engaged in writing my first books for grownups.
I was prompted to create these books by an event that happened in 2004: While driving to the West of England I suffered a breakdown which changed the course of my life forever. For many years I was unable to continue with my writing and withdrew from the world and the life I'd previously known. During these reclusive years, in which it seemed everything had been stripped away from me, I tried to understand what had happened to me, and also why it had happened. As you can imagine, this was not an easy time but after many years the breaking down became a breaking through into the fulfilment of a spiritual journey I've been on all my life.
Through progressive conversations with my friend Matthew, these new books share the perspective I discovered. The series is called
Life Beyond Personality and the first book, The Story of 'You', is now available as an e-book at an introductory price.
