Jez Reads The Gobble Gobble Moooooo Tractor Book
Reading Allowed

In 2010 I visited Tulsa to speak at an Usbourne Books convention to 500 delegates. At the time I had just published The Gobble Gobble Moooooo Tractor Book and so part of my talk involved me reading my new book. This story is all about sounds, tractor sounds and animal sounds, and so it is not a text which you can read half heartedly. So there I was, on stage in the biggest convention room I’ve ever seen, BA-AA-A-AAING, HONKING and MOOOOING to five hundred strangers who had journeyed to Tulsa from all over America. By the end of my talk they didn’t feel like strangers anymore; what an enthusiastic and friendly audience these ladies turned out to be! The message I repeatedly received during questions at the end was ‘When can we get a copy of you reading the book?’ I explained that publishers usually like famous people to read stories on audio versions of books but my enthusiastic audience were not satisfied by this. 'We don’t want a famous person reading it,' they said 'we want you!' Thanks (I think!) The point is, I have finally got a recoding together of me reading The Gobble Gobble Moooooo Tractor Book. I do hope you enjoy it and it encourages you in your own performance. Take a deep breath and don’t be shy…
